The landscaping project is finally finished. We have been planning a new layout for the front yard for several months, and we are proud to say it turned out even more beautiful than we had thought. Mike did an amazing job designing and planning everything from budget to plant selection. He really tried to stick with native and drought tolerant plant species. Now that we have been in a drought for over a year, we definitely understand the importance of low water and low maintenance plants. We stuck with buying smaller plants that will grow into the space instead of purchasing the larger more costly ones. You might notice that the plants don't show up real well in the pictures, but I assure you that they look wonderful! Thank you Nana and Paps for helping with the project and planning! As everything starts to grow and we add in our annuals, I will be sure to update everyone on how the yard looks.
We expanded the side flower bed to incorporate the parts of the yard that get a lot of sun and are very dry. Hopefully, these plants will do better than the grass did.
