Aunt Patti visit and 10 months old

Aunt Patti and Benett met for the first time in person. Until now, Benett has only seen his Aunt Patti via Web cam. We were all so happy to spend the past week hanging out and having fun. Patti's trip coincided with our house going up for sale, then going under contract, then new home searching, then the deal falling through and the decision to take it off the market until some time next year. Benett also had 2 more teeth come in while Patti was here. Getting new teeth always makes Benett a little cranky. All of that on top of Benett and me having a cold and Mike starting Benett's night time sleep training made for a bit of a stressful week. Patti was her typical even keel self however and just rode the emotional roller coaster with us...good times. When Grandma and Grandpa brought Patti up from Houston, they came bearing gifts for Little B. They bought Benett his first car! It is Flintstone style in that his little feet have to power it, but nonetheless it is his first set of wheels. Aunt Patti and Grandma also brought lots of new books for Benett to read, and Aunt Patti taught Benett how to turn the pages all by himself.

On Monday, we stopped by Taco Deli to pick up our Mojo Fish Taco picnic and headed to the park to take Benett to the splash pad in Champion Park. Benett LOVED the water sprinklers. Patti also gave us copies of all her kid friendly music she uses with her students in Spain. Benett enjoyed dancing and singing with Patti.

Later in the week, we headed to Nana and Papa's house so Patti could spend time with her friend Sean in Dallas. While we were there, Aunt Terry, Coupe and Josey also came in town for a visit.
All in all it was a wonderful week and visit with Aunt Patti. Hopefully we will be able to see her again later on this year.
