This past weekend we went to Brownwood, TX to help celebrate Amanda's Aunt Terry's 60th birthday. (Aunt Terry, if you're reading this and it's April 23rd, Happy Birthday!) A true treasure that calls Brownwood home is Underwood's Bar-B-Q and Cafeteria! I was first introduced to Underwood's by a friend of mine from college, Don Rodgers, and it was love at first bite! Underwood's is known for the rolls, the cobbler, BBQ Beef Steak, and the ribs (pretty much everything you see on my plate below!) This is not a traditional Texas BBQ joint, but it is some of the best food you will find anywhere - especially when you get a 3-meat plate with unlimited sides and fixin's for only $12! If you ever are near Brownwood, you owe it to yourself to visit Underwood's - heck if you are in Austin or Dallas and you have time on your hands to make the 2-hour drive, do it! You won't be disappointed!
Which brings me to part II of this post! Three weeks ago, I said I wanted to lose 17 lbs between then and May 25th. The good news is that I am at 189 (down 8 lbs). The bad news is I was at 189 last week too! I completely blame Underwood's, but I don't care it was worth it. This week, I'll just have to work harder to get to next week's goal of 186! Wish me luck!
